IABC Business Consultant's accreditation
key to business excellence
The Institute of Accredited Business Consultants' (IABC) accreditation for business consultants is an assurance of excellence for New Zealand business owners. IABC recommends that people seeking business advice and assistance appoint IABC accredited practitioners first. Accreditation is awarded only after consultants have passed a number of assessments which test: their experience, their knowledge, the quality and relevance of their advice, and the success they have achieved for clients. Their professional qualifications and commitment to best practice are also measured Only those business consultants who demonstrate the expected levels of excellence are awarded the national title of NZ Accredited Business Consultant (NZ ABC). All Accredited Consultants must commit to the IABC code of ethics which is strictly enforced. IABC also awards international accreditation. Consultants first complete Auckland University of Technology's APEC-IBIZ Training and Certification Programme, which covers 107 competencies that prove they can fulfil their role effectively. |
They then submit a portfolio demonstrating how they have successfully applied the 107 competencies to 10 of their clients. Portfolios are assessed and consultants that have achieved the expectations of the accreditation programme are awarded the internationally recognised APEC-IBIZ ABC title. IABC says that only by employing nationally and internationally accredited business consultants, can New Zealand business owners affirm the quality of advice and assurance they are receiving.
