Anthony Stephenson
He is a Board member of The Institute of Accredited Business Consultants. Recently he was made Country Councillor for the ASQ in New Zealand. This coupled with many International Conference papers keeps Tony active on Quality, Healthcare, Environment, Food Safety as well as Occupational Safety and Health.
Tony served an Engineering apprenticeship with Transport Equipment Thorneycroft. He taught at the College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering in London. Tony worked in Australia with the Australian Organisation for Quality and the Productivity Council, as well as Swinburne College of Technology. Tony and his Team were key players in the development of Cooperative Education with industry. He was Team Leader in developing the first Diploma in Quality in Australia. He worked also with a wide range of Australian industries as part of his role at Swinburne.
On arriving in New Zealand in 1975, his first role was to help develop the platform and infrastructure for the NZOQ while he worked for the DSIR; Tony became the inaugural President in1977.
He has worked with many Certification bodies in over 10 Countries and Consulted to over 200 Clients in 15 Countries, many being SME’s.
Tony has been a SEAANZ member for many years and actively involved with SEAANZ Board activities and committee work as well as presenting papers at Conferences. He lectures on Management related topics part time in a number of locations.

Tony is always ready to explore new ways of Professional Development, Education and Training using a variety of techniques based on his earlier experiences with co-operative Education Internationally in various Media.
Since 1983 when he founded International Quality Consultants Ltd, he has helped to set up similar bodies in Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the USA and UK, as well as Certification bodies in the same regions. He was a founding signatory of the company that ultimately became Cubic Defence Industries in NZ.
