Russell Harray
Russell worked in the chemical industry for 16 years after leaving The University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Management Studies, majoring in marketing.
In 1994 Russell joined the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) as a part time lecturer and has moved through various teaching and leadership roles since that time, being programme leader for the Diploma of Marketing and Diploma of Advertisng, and then the Academic Group Leader for the Marketing and Advertising department.
Russell is now Manager of Executive Education at AUT. Current qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Massey University and a Masters in Professional Business Studies from AUT. Teaching has been as various levels within the Marketing and Sales area plus currently is a mentor to students starting up their own business while finishing off their studies. He has been a judge at the NZ Sales and Marketing awards and a member of the AUT marketing and advertising advisory boards.
Russell is a past judge of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) and has been involved in running YES workshops over the past 6 years. He is also the AUT advisor on the Plantation Business Challenge.
Russell enjoys sport and still participates at an international level. He is President of the NZ Blokart Association and a member of the international blokart committee.
